If you can't find the answer to your question below, please get in touch.

When does the season start and end?
Our season typically starts late February with a few 'try-rugby' sessions, then kicks into gear in March. Games usually start in April, and run through till August. Juniors teams that play finals will play a few weeks extra.
When is training?
Teams train on weekday evenings starting around 5:30. Age-groups may train on different days based on coach and field availability.
What about public and school holidays?
Games won't be held during school holidays or public holiday long weekends. Depending on interest, teams may still get together for an informal fun practice session.
What age-group does my child fit into?
Age-groups are decided based on your child's age on the 1st of January of the year. A child aged 6 on 1 January will be in the Under 7s.

There is also a dispensation process for kids to move up or down an age-group, depending on their size and skill. If you've got any concerns, please come talk to us.
What's the youngest they can start?
Our youngest age-group is Under 6 - for players aged 5 on 1 January. If your child is a bit younger, they're welcome to join in. We have many enthusiastic younger brothers and sisters who can't wait to get on the field. U6 rugby has no tackling. It's safe, and the kids have loads of fun.
Can we try it out?
Sure. We have 'try rugby' sessions at the beginning of the season, but we're happy to have you join any time.
Am I too old to join?
You're never too old to start playing rugby. We regularly have new players join our Junior teams (U10-opens) - some have never played any sport at all! We'll teach you everything you need to know and we won't be pushing you to do things you're not ready for. You also won't be stuck on the bench!
